The Rebecca and Simon of R & S Collectables began this venture after filling the house with antiques, antiquities and books in particular. Rebecca was always visiting auctions to increase the collection but needed a better way than charity shop donation of passing on surplus items. The online selling experience had begun.
To cut a relatively short story even shorter, Rebecca and Simon gave up their day jobs, shifted the stock and operation to a 200 year old mill a hundred yards from home and do what we do full time now. Meet the team! Left to right are Chloe, Peter, Rebecca, Simon and Janet. Chairman Stuart was at home in Edinburgh on the day the photographer was here.
Rebecca and Simon's main passion is for their Chinese born daughter Merridy XiaoFang, pictured left. She was born in Anhui province in 2001 and has transformed the lives of everyone that she has come into contact with.
If any of you are thinking of beginning the journey to adoption in China or anywhere else and you would like to talk about Rebecca and Simon's experience, please contact them here.

COVERS / HANDS OF HOPE PROJECT -
A Hands of
Hope Wall project was set up as a gift to our children’s homeland.
The Philip Hayden Foundation graciously offered to complete
the Hands of Hope Wall at the Shepherd's Field Children's Village
playground area just outside of Bejing. This wall shows our gratitude to our children’s homeland, and our belief that China cares about the well being of every orphan in their care.
