A superb Emile, (son of Esme), Samson of Paris reproduction of a Chelsea figure. Made around 1890, the subject being a gentleman from antiquity. One of the fingers to his right arm has been professionally restored and there are some firing imperfections to the top of the base and the side of the cloak. As is common for these figures, the 'Chelsea' anchor mark has been left on, but the Samson mark has been erased. Although this figure is of superb quality, we do not believe it to be actual Chelsea, but rather a later reproduction by the famous Samson factory of Rue Beranger in Paris. He stands around 5.5 inches or 13.5cms high and other than the details mentioned above, he is in excellent order. | ||||

They are in the form of children holding onto semi-open parasols, each child carrying baskets filled with flowers.
