A collection of football memorabilia relating to the first final match of the Football Association Challenge Trophy Final at Wembly on May 2nd 1970 between the finalists Macclesfield Town (who won) and Telford united. The collection includes

  • Two tickets for the match (North Terrace at 20/- each)
  • A pair of Macclesfield Town supporter's rosettes
  • The Official Programme for the final at Wembley
  • The Official Programme for the 1967-68 FA Cup 1st round match between Stockport County and Macclesfield Town (incorporates the Football League Review for the w/e December 9th 1967)
  • The Official Programme for the semi-final tie between Barnet and Macclesfield Town played at Stoke City's Victoria Ground
  • A copy of Silkmen News from 16th November 1968, match between Macclesfield Town and Lincoln City
  • The Official Programme for the 67-68 season FA Cup match between Fulham and Macclesfield Town
  • A copy of the Shropshire Star souvenir insert marking the first FA Challenge Trophy Final, published April 29th 1970
  • A copy of the Macclesfield Express of May 7th 1970 depicting the victorious return of the Silkmen to Macclesfield

The newspapers are a little tatty around their edges and they have been folded into quarters, but the rest of this super set of memorabilia is all in excellent order.

A near complete set of Will's Cigarette Cards from 1910. Aviation. The first 25 depict airships and the next aeroplanes. Missing from the set of 50 are numbers 2, 8, 9, 10, 18, 26 and 27. In good rather than excellent condition with small dog ears to some and slightly grubby edges.

A near complete set of Hignett's Cigarettes collector cards Greetings of the World. 25 in the series. Dating to the 1930s. Missing cards are numbers 15, 17 and 22. In good condition - they were mounted in an album that has left faint marks where the corner holders were and a couple have creases or folds. No tears.

c1917 Embroidered Silk Postcard of the Army Service Corps, sent from the Front in France in 1917 (please see picture for further description). This postcard was sent to a lady named Blanche to let her know of the senders safe arrival. In good condition with no rips or tears and the embroidery is still intact. This postcard measures 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) by 3 1/2 inches (9 cm). Weighs 5 grammes unpackaged.
