ISO9001:2000 might not seem to sit with antiques and collectables very comfortably, but Simon Russell, one of the directors of iAuctionShop and R & S Collectables was a Quality System Manager in his previous life as Operations Director of an industrial computer manufacturer.
Having been approached by friends running small businesses asking him to help put together a Quality Management System, Simon realised that there was a real need for a low cost, fast track consultancy in the area focusing on small businesses or organisations that suddenly find their customers demanding certification.
An increasing number of larger organisations insist that all of their suppliers operate an ISO9001:2000 compliant quality management system - and the easiest way to guarantee this is through certification.
