Charming Wedgwood & Co figurine, Unicorn & Pinnox Works, Tunstall, Staffordshire Potteries, formerly Podmore, Walker & Co. Handpainted figure, named the Cavalier, and clearly marked to the base with the mark for the period. This has had some professional restoration work to the corner of his coat and also to the item in his hand. This was a difficult restoration purely because we were unable to find another piece to copy the restoration work, however, the standard of work is extremely good and the piece can now be thoroughly enjoyed and admired. Measures 7 3/4 inches (19 1/2 cm) in height, and weighs unpackaged 210 grammes. Additional photographs are available on request. |

Figure is called Shepherd and depicts a boy with a flute and a sweet dog companion at his feet. Clearly marked to the base with the Wedgwood & Co mark. A general pleasing craze to the glaze, but in good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures 7 1/2 inches (19 cm) in height, and weighs unpackaged 250 grammes.
